there’s one thing that could Change Everything in your life

The Illusion of Control
You ever notice how we try to run the show?
Our own timing. Our own plans. Our own strength.
That was me for years. I thought if I worked hard enough, stayed disciplined, and out-grinded everyone, I’d eventually feel fulfilled. I chased achievement thinking it would give me peace. But it never did.
I’d hit a goal and instantly move the finish line. I was always chasing, never resting. Deep down I knew I was called to something higher, but I kept playing small. Settling for what was comfortable. Complaining about what wasn’t working instead of asking what God was trying to teach me in it.
It’s wild how easy it is to confuse motion with meaning. I was busy, but I wasn’t aligned.
When God Interrupts Your Plans
At some point, God had to interrupt me.
Not out of punishment, but protection.
He let a few things fall apart that I was holding together by sheer willpower. Looking back, I can see it now. He wasn’t breaking me down, He was breaking me open.
I prayed for clarity, but He gave me stillness. I asked for progress, but He gave me patience. I wanted a shortcut, but He handed me a season of waiting.
That’s usually how it goes. God doesn’t rush development. He’ll prune what’s no longer producing, even if you’re still clinging to it. And that pruning hurts. It feels like you’re losing ground. But you’re actually being repositioned for growth you couldn’t handle before.
Faith and Fitness: The Same Lesson
The more I walk with God, the more I see the overlap between faith and fitness.
In the gym, progress rarely looks exciting. It’s slow, repetitive, uncomfortable. You push through pain, you build through tension, and you grow through resistance. You don’t always see results right away, but one day, you wake up stronger.
Faith works the same way. God uses resistance to refine us. He strengthens our character before He expands our calling. The waiting season is where He builds endurance.
It’s no different than training. If you quit every time it burns, you’ll never build real strength. Sometimes obedience means showing up, even when the results haven’t shown up yet.
Letting Go to Move Forward
Everything changed when I stopped trying to control the outcome and started asking God to lead the process.
I used to think surrender meant weakness. Now I realize it’s the strongest thing you can do. Because when you let go, you make space for something greater.
I stopped chasing the life I pictured and started trusting the one He was writing.
And I can tell you firsthand, it’s better than anything I could’ve planned.
There’s a peace that comes when you stop forcing what isn’t meant for you and start walking in step with what is. It doesn’t mean life gets easier. It just means you finally stop fighting the process that’s trying to grow you.
The Takeaway
So if you’re in a season that feels uncertain, if the doors aren’t opening yet, if the grind feels endless, don’t rush it.
God’s not holding you back. He’s preparing you.
The same way the gym builds strength through resistance, life builds faith through friction.
Growth isn’t found in ease. It’s built through obedience.
And when you stop fighting the process and start trusting the One leading it, everything in your life begins to shift.
Live With Purpose
If this message hit home, maybe it’s time to stop drifting and start living with purpose again. To wake up every day feeling strong, confident, and alive. To build a body that reflects the discipline inside you and a mindset that moves with faith, not fear.
If you’re ready to get in the best shape of your life, strengthen your walk, and feel young again, I’d love to help you create a plan that brings it all together.
