our story

Ryan Sick | Founder and Performance Coach | SickFitness

SickFitness was founded in 2014 in Orlando, FL with one clear mission. To help people become the strongest, healthiest version of themselves. What started as a local group training business quickly evolved into something much bigger, expanding into school-based fitness programs across Orlando and eventually working with athletes at the collegiate and professional level.

Our founder, Ryan Sick, holds a degree in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Central Florida and is a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Sports Performance Coach, and Transformation Coach. His career includes hands-on experience training under the leadership of elite athletes like Chipper Jones and Tim Tebow. This was an opportunity that helped shape the high-performance foundation SickFitness is built on today.

In 2023, after the passing of his mother, Ryan was faced with a life-altering perspective shift. That moment became the turning point. A call to serve with greater purpose. It led to the rebirth of SickFitness, now grounded in the mindset: Fueled by Purpose. Driven by Determination.

At SickFitness, weโ€™re not just building stronger bodies, weโ€™re here to elevate your entire life. Through expert coaching, real connection, and mission-driven programs, our goal is to impact as many lives as possible. We want to give you all the tools to empower you to take control of your health, unlock your full potential, and live a life of purpose, resilience, and unstoppable momentum.

The Beginning

2014 - 2015

SickFitness was born from a passion to help others move better, feel stronger, and take control of their health. What started with small group boot camps and one-on-one training sessions laid the early foundation for something much bigger.

laying the groundwork

2015 - 2018

During these years, SickFitness partnered with schools across Orlando, working with children and teens ages 2 to 18. We focused on teaching movement, sportsmanship, and the basics of fitness and nutrition, planting seeds for healthy habits early in life.

growth & exploration

2018 - 2020

Traveling frequently to Los Angeles and Las Vegas opened doors to new opportunities and connections. These years were about expanding the vision, learning from others in the industry, and building relationships with brands, athletes, and innovators in fitness and wellness.

a shift in direction

2020 - 2021

When the world paused during the pandemic, SickFitness found a new path forward. We opened a private training space, creating a quiet but consistent place where people could keep moving, stay grounded, and continue their progress when everything else felt uncertain.

finding new reach

2021 - 2024

Online coaching started to take shape as more people looked for guidance beyond the gym. These years were focused on connection, growth, and helping clients from all over build healthier lives through personalized, structured programs.

a new chapter

2024 - 2025

Losing my mom turned my world upside down overnight. I found myself lost, searching for direction, unsure of what came next. But through the grace of God and many months of prayer and reflection, the answer slowly became clear. It was time to breathe new life into SickFitness. This rebrand is rooted in the values my mom lived by every single day. Perseverance, resilience, and the strength to keep fighting no matter what life throws your way. Itโ€™s more than just a new look, it's a deeper mission to help people from all walks of life reclaim their health, their strength, and their sense of purpose.
